When your days are so good you feel like you are living your dreams…and want to pinch yourself to make sure it’s real. That is what every day is like when you are on photo safari in Chobe National Park!
Unbelievable scenes unfold in front of you every day in Africa - including giving way to herds of Elephants crossing the Main Street in the town of Kasane!
The freedom and the wilderness is beyond words…it’s a place you have to visit to believe and really immerse yourself in.
Every day on safari is so different…different animals, different sightings and different photographs to be captured! Some days you think you can never experience such a great day, but then tomorrow comes and it’s even better. It really is like living a dream.
It’s also great as there are strict rules in Chobe National Park and the wildlife are relaxed and not bothered by the vehicles (with the exception of the occasional angry hippos on the river). There are also strict rules for boats on the Chobe River as it is inside the National Park. Unfortunately we did see a tour operator ignore a rule in regards to the elephants, which is why it is crucial to do your research and make sure the tour operator you book for your africa photo safari is ethical and puts the animals first. As mentioned in my previous blog post I highly recommend Pangolin Photo Safaris.
The variety of wildlife and encounters here are simply incredible. I can watch elephants for hours as they are so caring to their young and their emotions and connections are obvious. However the amount of birds I saw gave me an appreciation of their beauty and I soon wanted to photograph as many bird species as possible!
