About ME

I'm a passionate photographer with a love for Africa based in the bayside area of Victoria, Australia where I live with my two grown up children. I have been involved in the photography industry for over 25 years. My photography business won multiple business awards.

MY LOVE FOR AFRICA

The days and weeks after my first visit to the incredible tribes of the Omo Valley in Ethiopia opened my eyes and in unimaginable ways changed my life. I quickly returned. I know I can create friendly photography tours for others that are unique and that show respect to those that we meet. I have become so passionate about Africa and especially Ethiopia. It is a unique country in so many ways with so many amazing people and my personal Omo Valley photo tours are considerate of the impact of tourism to these remote places as well as the remote tribes in Northern Kenya.

I have always had a love for Africa and decided to live my life without any regrets (and hope to inspire others that dreams can come true) and I made going to Africa one of my priorities. I initially travelled by myself to Botswana and the freedom and experiences I had in Africa was incredible. This began my love of travelling to Africa.

When I first visited Africa I knew it wasn’t a “once in a lifetime” trip. I knew it was going to be the first of many!

I’ve heard people say when you visit Africa you leave a bit of your heart behind. This is certainly true for me. I’m proud to share my stories, experiences, photographs and memories with others - I love sharing what I see through my eyes and I love the emotions and delight when people see my images and join me on my adventures!

I hope to continue to inspire others to see our world, and experience amazing adventure in Africa.

MULTIPLE AWARD WINNING PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER

I’ve been fortunate to win multiple awards at State, National and International levels. I’ve been the Victorian Documentary Photographer of the Year (2019) as well as a finalist in both the Travel and Wedding categories. I’ve been recognised at an associate level of professional photography associations in both Australia and New Zealand. I was chosen to be a team member of TEAM AUSTRALIA for multiple years in the World Photographic Cup and have been a judge in both national and international photography competitions.

I’m a professional photographer that loves to travel and to mentor and support others on their photography journey.

CAREER update

I’ve had a very successful and fortunate photography career being a full-time professional photographer for many years. After some travelling and seeing healthcare in remote tribal locations I made some changes with my career and am now driving an ambulance for St John Ambulance Victoria as a Patient Transport Officer. I love the balance I now have with photography and travel as well as helping others in their times of need when i’m not overseas.
